For centuries, the tobacco pipe has been a symbol of contentment and contemplation. Through the window of this transcendental artifact and its sacred origins, Father the Flame is a cinematic exploration of legacy, family and love.

Chad began Father the Flame as a personal documentary project in 2012 along with producers, Jeremy Rush and Stellita Terpstra, and editor Scott McCambridge. After traveling to five countries and four US destinations, the film premiered in October 2018 at the Chicago International Film Festival and received high praise from the lead editor of American Cinematographer with the Salem Film Festival award.
